I've launched my new website - please take a look

I’m delighted to announce the launch of my new website, built by those clever people at Bluestorm, and invite you to take a look at it.

As well as being a shop window for my media and communications services, the site will carry my blogs on the business scene in Hull, East Riding and the Humber region. It will also showcase business-related stories from across the region and informed opinions on business issues.

There is also a channel of news, views, reports and trends from social media - the fastest growing area of communications.

I hope connections will find it a useful information source.

Sustaining community journalism in the regions.

There’s a growing debate about the future of local and regional newspapers as the industry is assailed by multiple challenges.
I’ve written an article for trade publication InPublishing addressing some of the issues. I’ve chosen to focus on what I believe should be done to sustain journalism in the regions, rather than how we save print newspapers. To me, it’s the content and the vital role of journalism in local communities that really matters, not the platform.
I would appreciate comments and feedback, from inside and outside the industry. It’s a crucial debate - please join it.

David Cameron joins Linkedin - are you a connection?

Have you heard that David Cameron has joined Linkedin? He works in Government Administration, don't you know. Is he hedging his bets if the economy stays stalled?
Seriously though, isn't it somewhat ridiculous. Downing Street says it is "part of a move to engage further with citizens and businesses using digital communications", but is there any real purpose in the PM being on this network of pro
fessionals.
It's interesting that, as I write, he has just 54 connections. I suspect he'll be flooded by invitations to link up with people he's never met, let alone heard of - just like the rest of us!
The PM's outline profile can be viewed on the link below:

He's what No. 10 says about Cameron joining Linkedin and also Four Square:
